My Travel List

I’m an adventurous person, I really love the idea of traveling. Like being in the ocean, climbing mountains or be in a place where you can really appreciate nature. The best place I really love to go is the ocean. I’m a beach lover and the idea of being there is such a wonderful thing!

I started to love beaches when we had a family vacation at Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. That place is a really really wonderful place. The water is so clear, the sand is so clean and the atmosphere is so calming. It feels like you’re somewhere that your problems, work or studies can’t touch you. The ocean will take your mind and will let you forget everything that bothers you. And since then, every wonderful beaches or any body of water is a ‘must go’ for me. Now, here are the places I wanted to go someday.

  1. Siargao

Siargao is one of the best spot in the Philippines. It’s a really calming place surrounded by trees. The clear water and the green surroundings is good for a calming vacation. This place is also good for instagrammable photos.

2. Bantayan Island

I discovered Bantayan Island in the movie “Camp Sawi”. This island is also located at the Philippines. In the picture, it also looks calming and the water is clear and it’s a good place to relax and have a vacation.

3. Minalungao, Nueva Ecija

This park is also named as “Secret Paradise of Nueva Ecija”. As you can see in the picture, it is surrounded by rock and it’s like a hidden place. The peacefu surrounding and atmosphere helps the people to relax.

4. Sisiman Beach

This beach is located at Bataan and is well-known for its light house and wonderful view. A scene in “Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka” was took into this place. The rocks are also a good to chill at. It adds the beauty in the surroundings

5. Balesin Island

Balesin Island is like a the local maldives. The pathways are look alike, I dream to be here because its format does really look likes maldives.

6. Maldives

Maldives! My ultimate dream place. This is the most beautiful place that I dream to go. I totally promised myself that i’m gonna be here in the future. The ocean is so clear and the resorts and cottages to stay in is so wonderful. It’s like a paradise of ocean.

That’s my travel list as of now! It’s just the beaches and islands I wanted to go, but places like Paris, South Korea are not yet included. There are so many in my list!! It’s really good to travel and dreaming of it is an inspiration for me.

Flashback

Philippines was once a wonderful place. No traffics, no pollution, no rapists. Our country might be colonized many years ago but we can’t resist the fact that the beauty of the country from the past is more appreciated now. Why? Because lot of things had changed. If we can just turn back time and go back to that era, without the conquerors, its a wonderful place isn’t it?

Years ago, girls wear filipinana, boys wear barong tagalog. Women were called “Binibini” while men were “Ginoo”. Filipinas used to be shy and Filipinos are careful with their actions trying their best not to touch the girls without their permission. Filipinos from the past used to be more respectful toward the girls. Filipinas wear long skirts, sleeved blouses and clothes that will not show off their skin.

In addition, ‘panliligaw’ is a big responsibility for a man who wants to make a girl his girlfriend. They need to pump water from the balon (pag-iigib), they need to cut trees branches (pagsisibak ng kahoy) and the best part is “pangha-harana” where the man will go the woman’s house to sing a song for her.

Also, when two people doesn’t have time to meet in person to talk, they don’t just get their phones and chat or text the person, they personally write the message in a paper and send it to the person they want. Handwritten letters will never gets old

Filipinos also used to ride kalesa, where horses carry the carriage. There were also small number of cars which doesn’t cause any traffic at all. Streets were clean, if you will look at it, you can’t even recognize that it’s Philippines.

Morever, when technology is not yet this broad and necessary for daily living, children used to play tumbang preso, chinese garter, habulan, taguan, langit lupa and etc. Kids were always outside and not locked in their rooms playing gadgets.

Maybe it’s wonderful to be in the modern world where everything is one click away but it’s also a good thing living on those times where everyone talks to each other personally, panliligaw is a must and playing outside is the trend. The clean surroundings, the old houses, the classic clothings, it’s all magnificient years ago. Philippines was once beautiful and peaceful. If I could just go back, I will. For me, those times were good old days. Nothing can beat classic and it will always be a dream for me to experience those kind of living.

Best Companion

Friends, peers, group, company, squad or whatsoever you can call the circle of people that isn’t blood related but mean the most to you. They make you happy and sometimes look stupid. They bring out a version of yourself you didn’t even knew before. You do crazy and memorable things with them. We will always be happy having a friend that will also treat us as their friend

I have my friends, we all have one atleast. Most of the time, I treat them more than just a friend, I see them as a sister or a brother. I look at them like they’re my happy pills. I got easily attached for people who can make me smile and genuinely happy. I invests so much time and love for these people. Honestly, I can almost forget the real world and problems when I have them.

But what if these friends suddenly left? What if those people that i treated more than just my friend suddenly walked away and enjoyed being with other people? How can we say that these people are better being in our lives? How can we consider them as the good people we should keep in our lives? I have so many questions in mind for those people who left me without saying any reason. I keep on asking myself, why? Why do y’all need to leave and shout at my face that you’re happy with your new friends and i’m not gonna be your friend anymore? Why did you change? Wasn’t I a good companion? Wasn’t I enough? I didn’t let a moment slip away without letting y’all feel that I care for you. I gave you so much effort, so much love and so much time but where did I went wrong? Am I not funny enough? Didn’t I make you laugh and smile? Why did you all leave? I just keep on telling myself that “maybe, God thinks they weren’t good for my life progress”. Uhm, maybe these people who stayed are the ones who’ll push me more to the right path where I should go. Maybe one day, my questions will be answered and I’ll say, “Oh, that’s why. Thank God”. I keep on telling myself that “Someday, everything will be fine”.

As the song “I hate you, I love you” said “friends can break your heart too”, I felt that. Those friends who left me shattered my heart into pieces, but I know there will always be a place in my heart reserved for them. They weren’t be destined to be in my life, but the best companion I have is those people who stayed with me since the beginning. Maybe these are the people that God wants to be with me. Maybe they’re right, that not everyone who’s happy to be with is right to be with. And you have no choice but to accept that those people came into your life just to be a lesson, that you are worthy to be with a circle of friends that will mold you into a better version of yourself and gonna lead you to the right way. It will never be your fault. As long as you gave your love to them and you accomplished your responsibility as your friend, you are not the one to be blamed. It’s just that, people come and go and you have to be strong to let them go.

Light Shines

There are times like everything is falling apart. It felt like nothing good seems to happen, everything is a mess and it’s just a no hope day for you. It seems like there is no reason to be happy at all. The thoughts crawl upon our minds until it conquers it fully. We can’t deny that we have our dark days that we don’t discuss with anyone. But here are some things I keep in mind every bad days I encounter

  1. God is with me

If God is with me, why should I worry. God holds our past, present and future. He got everything planned. The trials and dark moments of our lives are just challenges that will help us to be stronger and gonna mold us into a better version of ourselves.

2. There is hope

There will always be a new day. We all have to face problems but we don’t have to stay there. We need to overcome this phase for us to be a better person. In every bad moment, there is also a good moment. Just like they say, it’s just a bad day not a bad life

3. I have family and friends

I have my family to lean on, they’re the closest people we can share our thoughts to. We will always have our family who got our back. If we have family problems, we have friends. We have our peer for a reason. We don’t have them for display or just for fun, we have them because they have us. It’s our responsibility to be a help for our friend in those times they need us.

4. There are people who understands

Sometimes we’re not comfortable of sharing our problems to the people who are closest to our hearts but don’t forget that there are people who understands you and trustworthy enough. There are people around you that doesn’t mean a lot to you or doesn’t even have a heavy role in your life but they are willing to listen to your problems and rants. Sometimes the most unexpected people are the one who’s gonna help us.

5. There are more reasons to live

We have dreams and goals and we shouldn’t stop chasing them because of this circumstances that is holding us back. This dreams will be our inspiration to get up and encourages us that “I can”. Yes you can, you can overcome all of this, in God’s power. Someday you’ll be looking back and you’ll finally smile and tears will fall from your eyes and you’ll say “I made it”.

Life is more than just living. You will not wake up just to sleep again. You are given another opportunity not to be conquered by problems but to face it, to overcome it. You’re not just a simple person, you are stronger than you think. And you’re capable more than you think you are. Keep fighting!

Goodness in Writing

Welcome back readers and welcome back to my blog. Now, as a person who loves to write, the topic for this blog is the goodness in writing. Why do I love to write? What does it benefit me?

First of all, writing in general, benefits us all. Like taking lectures in a class, writing down what do we need to buy, taking notes of some ideas for our projects or business and so much more.

Well, if you write for your thoughts and feelings, it’s a new form of writing. It’s not just a simple way of taking down words but it’s a creative way of it. I define writing as a reality where you can share your ideas with your friend, a paper. Sounds weird, but yes, being a writer is being friends with the pen, paper, notebooks or books. The pen becomes your tongue and the paper becomes your friend.

Now here I feel when i am writing:

1. I am free

When I write, I am free but not lost. No one judges me. I express my thoughts and feelings without thinking about others. My paper wouldn’t judge me. I can freely tell what I think and what I feel. That’s how writing affects me.

2. I can explore

There are no good books without good authors. Writers create wonderful places for readers. Before their readers can discover new places, the author discovered it first. Writing helps me explore my mind. How can my mind create new places that doesn’t exits. It helps me explore my heart, how can my feelings affect the words that i write. Through writing, I can explore myself. I continually discover the inner me through writing.

3. It makes my dreams come true

Sometimes we like to do things that we’re not allowed to. Maybe because we’re not capable to do it or there’s something holding us back. Whatever may be the reason is, we dream for things we wish to happen. Through writing, my dreams become a dream come true. When there are things I wanted to do or wanted to happen, I’m writing them. There’s a hope inside me that someday it will be. But maybe those things wouldn’t happen in the future but atleast it happened once in my hands. Sometimes my dreams aren’t even realistic but in writing, those dreams are not impossible.

4. It takes my mind and heart

Well, for me, writing is a good thing for my mental and emotional health. As I said in my first point, I freely express my thoughts and feelings. If I can express everything that goings on in my mind and heart, it will never be hard for me. I wouldn’t have a heavy heart filled with unnecessary feelings. My mind wouldn’t be filled by so many thoughts that will hunt me into my sleep. Through writing, I leave everything in that paper.

Writing is an escape for me, and maybe, it can be yours too. It helps me a lot and maybe it could help you too. In this world full of deaf people, there will always be a blank paper who’s willing to be empty over and over again just for your thoughts. There will always be a pen filled with ink that will never runs out for your emotions. Writing will always be there waiting for you.

Welcome to Aesthetic Notebook!

Welcome readers! It’s me, Edel B. and welcome to my first blog. It’s a lovely day to start a new adventure and it’s amazing to have you here right now. But first, here are some reasons why I started blogging:

  1. Educational purposes

Aesthetic notebook was created as a requirement for our subject in school. We are required to create our personal website and create blogs.

2. I love writing

Two years ago, I started to try writing random stories that just suddenly comes up into my mind. Just random plots and all. Second, i started writing poems. I create poetries to express my thoughts and experiences, but i keep it to myself. Third thing, I tried calligraphy. It’s a nice way to know that I have passions in those kind of arts. And now, i started blogging to share my thoughts to my readers!

3. It’s an adventure

For me, blogging will be an adventure because I will meet new people with different ideas. It will be awesome to share my ideas and thoughts to other people.

Why “Aesthetic Notebook”?

The reason behind this name is seeing the beauty in everything through writing. We can say that “oh that’s pretty” but that ends there. We can see beauty in people, things, places or foods but sometimes we just keep it to ourselves. Now I came up with an idea: I can share the beauty that I can see through the skill God gave me, and that’s writing. Instead of writing in a notebook, I created a blog , where many people can read what I wrote and inspires them. And that’s the reason behind “Aesthetic Notebook”

Here are wonderful reasons to be in my blogs:

  1. Get a dose of inspirational thoughts that will help your daily life
  2. Have a lovely ideas in things I love about
  3. Learn and adopt in some recommendations i’m about to share
  4. You’ll truly enjoy knowing some stuffs about me

It’s a great opportunity to have you reading this blog right now! Thank you for being here! I wish you enjoyed knowing the reasons behind “Aesthetic Notebook”. I hope to have you in my next blog!
